Coach Gabby Trader and the Southeastern Indiana YMCA Stingrays traveled to Connersville High School Nov. 17 for the team's third competition of the season, hosted by Connersville Area Swim Team.

Kristen Fletcher, Aquatics Director, mentioned, “Our swimmers did a great job and represented our team well!”

Will Johnson, 13, swam the 50 freestyle in 32.57, the 100 free in 1:15.17 and the 100 backstroke in 1:24.34. Ava Obermeyer, 12, swam the 50 free in 37.57, dropping .87 seconds. Ava also created a new benchmark by swimming the 100 free and 100 back for the first time this season.

Zeke Obermeyer, 11, competed in the 50 free; he finished in 52.97, dropping 1.22 seconds. Zeke also swam the 100 free and 100 back. Derek VanSickle, 14, swam the 50 free in 30.67, the 100 back in 1:29.69 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.74. Derek continues to improve his personal times in each event.

“The coaches and I are very proud of our swimmers and their dedication to self-improvement this season," Fletcher added. "They are here and they are swimming their little hearts out in the efforts to meet their personal goals.”
