Wrestlers fall to Wildcats
The Batesville varsity wrestling team hosted conference rival Franklin County Saturday.
Despite both teams trading forfeits and BHS earning five wins, the Bulldogs fell short 45-27. Senior Axel Garcia won by decision and classmate JT Linkel won by pin, as did sophomores Christian Garcia and Josh Mobley. Sophomore Alex Murphy received a forfeit.
“Giving up more forfeits and losing close matches led to our defeat,” said coach Curtis Miller.
Batesville (3-20) travels to Centerville for a two-day weekend dual invitational.
