Batesville High School sophomore Tori Harping and freshman Emma Weiler competed in the IHSAA golf regional Saturday, Sept. 28, hosted by Lapel High School at Edgewood Golf Club, Anderson.

Coach Tom Meyer reported, “Tori shot a very good score of 100 and Emma birdied the 18th hole and the first playoff hole to advance to the IHSAA state finals next weekend at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.”

Weiler, who shot a 75, is one of five golfers advancing without a team. The others are Yahah Rolston, Heritage Christian, 68; Caroline Gibson, Greenfield Central, 72; Sidney Parmer, North Decatur, and Annaliese Fox, New Palestine, 73 each.

The top three teams at the Lapel Regional also will play at the state finals: Columbus North, 313; Noblesville, 324; and Lapel, 325. Two area teams competed at this tourney: Greensburg, 342; and Franklin County, 372.
