The Connersville Lady Spartans and East Central Lady Trojans could not find a way to knock off the Batesville Lady Bulldogs in tennis.

Batesville posted a 4-1 win at home over the Lady Spartans and followed up one night later with a 4-1 victory at East Central.

The Lady Bulldogs swept the singles play against Connersville led by No. 1 Chelsea Bessler. Bessler defeated Lindsay Corner 6-4 and 6-4.

Krista Bergman and Lindsey White were equally as impressive at No.2 and No. 3 singles respectively. Bergman won by the scores of 6-2 and 6-2 over Ashley Spurlock, while White defeated Jennifer Lingg 6-2 and 6-4.

The No. 2 doubles team of Nikki DiBease and Claire Heppner posted a 6-3 and 6-1 win for a fourth team victory.

The lone Connersville win came at No. 1 doubles. Batesville’s Libby Haakinson and Lauren Siefert won the first set 7-5, but dropped the next two 2-6 and 2-6.

Winners in junior varsity play were Ariel Mobley in singles and the doubles teams of Melissa Knisley/Kathleen Vernon and Toni Perdue/Yasmine Lima.

The Lady Bulldogs picked up another victory by knocking off East Central.

Bergman and White were straight set winners at No. 2 and No.3 respectively.

Siefert and Haakinson teamed up to win at No. 1 doubles, while Heppner and DiBease were winners at No. 2 .

Gwen Seamon picked up the lone win for the Lady Trojans. Seamon defeated Bessler 3-6, 6-4 and 6-3.
