The Batesville Bulldogs posted wins over two Eastern Indiana Athletic conference opponents to run their mark to 4-2 overall. The victory also secures at least a tie for the conference title with a mark of 4-0 with only Franklin County left to play. Despite playing without No. 1 singles player Connor Hagan, the Bulldogs knocked off the Lawrenceburg Tigers 4-1. Kassidy Kase continued to dominate area opponents at No. 2 singles. The freshman player won in straight sets 6-1 and 6-0 over Jalen Obertate. Henry Luchow added a win at No. 3 singles by defeating Charlie Gasden 6-0 and 6-3. The No. 1 doubles team of Billy Romweber and Mitchell Taylor needed three sets to post the victory. Isaac Fullenkamp and Joe Fortkamp did not have any problems at No. 2 – winning 6-2 and 6-3. Reece Rose filled in at No. 1 singles for the Bulldogs. Rose lost in two sets 6-1 and 6-3 to Jake Zerbe. The Bulldogs were 4-1 winners over the East Central Trojans. Hagan and Kase won easily in singles play. Hagan defeated EC’s Eric Galle 6-1 and 6-0, while Kase blanked Jeff Bosse at No. 2. Romweber and Taylor needed only two sets to beat Alex Hirlinger and Seth Hovland 6-3 and 6-2. Fortkamp and Fullenkamp were 6-0 and 7-5 winners at No. 2 doubles against Mitch Hudepohl and Dalton Kaebel.
