Dear Editor,

The Batesville Rotary Club would like to thank those businesses and individuals who helped make our 2018 Batesville Rotary Club’s Ron Simons Memorial Golf Outing a success. After being rained out Sept. 8, we were able to have the outing Oct. 13. It was cold, but dry.

We are very grateful to ETC; Heartwood Manufacturing; Friendship State Bank; FCN Bank; Bessler Trackside Auto Depot; Enneking Auto Body; Beth Simons; Margaret Mary Health; Seig Surveying, On Target, Batesville Dental, Steak 'n Shake, The Waters and Greensburg Rotary Club for their sponsorships. We also appreciate all the monetary donations and great items that were donated for prizes and door prizes, and a special thanks to Carmie Meyer. Cricket Ridge again served a great lunch and helped put on a fun tournament and putting skill challenge.

And, of course, thanks to the golfers who participated. It was quite cold when we started, but everyone had a great time. The day was a success, raising funds for our local projects such as the food pantry, third grade dictionary project, Summer Food Program and global projects such as polio eradication and Shelter Box. This year we also provided materials for the Batesville High School Spirit Store to build a portable sales kiosk.

We couldn’t have done it without your generous participation. You made it a fun event while supporting a good cause. Thanks again.

Margie Walke and the Batesville Rotary Club
