Indiana Grown is the statewide designation of products that are grown, made or processed only in Indiana. It's a chance for every Hoosier to shop local, sip local and savor local flavors.
Indiana Grown has over 1,200 members across the state and 24 members in this area, according to a news release.
Three area members make and sell drinks:
• The family-owned Ertel Cellars Winery is located on 200 acres near Batesville. For Hoosier and founder Tom Ertel, Ertel Cellars Winery is a dream come true. He says, "We invite you to tour our cellars, enjoy a meal, raise your glass in celebration and return often." Info: www.ertelcellarswinery.com/restaurant.html
• Rettig Hill Winery is an estate winery in Ripley County that practices grape growing and winemaking according to old world traditions. Info: https://rettighillwinery.com
• Great Crescent Brewery is located in historic Aurora along the banks of the Ohio River. Its beers are made with fresh malt, fresh hops and whole ingredients. Every beer is hand-crafted in small batches using traditional brewing methods. "We don’t filter our beers or use chemical clarifiers, we give them time to clear without interference. This extra time provides the beer a chance to condition properly; come to its full flavor potential naturally." Info: http://www.gcbeer.com/
