The Country Kids 4-H Club recently presented a $250 check to the Batesville Food Pantry. The club has chosen over the past several years to make a donation to a local organization or needy cause.

The club raises its funding through selling recycled newspapers, reports member Kurt Siefert. The money raised also helps support the activities in which the club participates throughout the year.

Persons may bring their newspapers (no magazines or slick ads) in paper grocery bags or tied with string to be recycled to a shed behind the Memorial Building on Sycamore Street between South and Catherine streets in Batesville. Proceeds benefit the Country Kids and Busy Bees 4-H clubs.
