Dramann given American Legion district award

Oldenburg Marshal Bill Dramann was nominated for the statewide 2018-19 American Legion Lewis Schmidt Law Officer of the Year Award by Sunman American Legion Post 337, reported member Steve Todd.

The Batesville resident was previously nominated for the honor by Prell-Bland American Legion Post 271, Batesville, in 1983, the Versailles post in 1999 and Sunman post in 2007.

The American Legion 9th District Committee selected Dramann to represent the district at the state level.

The district level Law Officer of the Year winners were recognized during the July 11-14 state convention in Indianapolis.

American Legion Department of Indiana Commander Rodney Strong presented Dramann his district plaque.

The state level honoree was an Indianapolis officer.
