The Batesville High School Class of 1959 held its 60th anniversary reunion homecoming weekend, Oct. 10-12.
On Thursday, several classmates and their spouses gathered at Steve Fehlinger’s golf course in Selma for a round of golf. On Friday, plans were made to ride in the homecoming parade, but were cancelled due to rain.
On Saturday, the class members enjoyed a party and reminiscing at the Batesville Knights of Columbus. A delicious dinner was served, followed by a business meeting where deceased classmates were remembered. Later pictures were taken, and door prizes were awarded.
Those attending from Indiana included Steve and Judy Fehlinger, Selma; Patty (Hess) and Jim Clark, Indianapolis; Jean Ziegler, Fishers; Sandy (Laws) and Dale Wittkamper, Greensburg; Edie (Merkel) Lamping, Tom and Becky Baumer and Lois (Hornig) and Paul Wissel, Oldenburg; and John and Dodie Amberger, Huey and Joanne Werner, Fran and Lou Effinger, Joe and Elaine Wessling, Mac and Gail Miller and Karen (Lightner) Oesterling, Batesville.
Out-of-state attendees were Carolyn (Cook) Hahn, San Antonio, Florida; Bill Erxleben, New Castle, Washington; Kenny and Mary Krinhop, Contonment, Florida; Leon and Joan Sarringhaus, Hollister, California; Marsha and Nello Williams, Gillette, Wyoming; Frank Walker, Alton, New Hampshire; and Willard and Donna (Mollaun) Wallpe and Jean (Fields) Auberger, Cincinnati, Ohio.
The next reunion will be homecoming weekend 2021.
