People Assisting Animals in Need is offering a low-cost spay and neuter clinic May 20. Pets are transported by the United Coalition for Animals to its facility at 2830 Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, where the sterilization surgeries are performed. Pets are dropped off Monday morning at the PAAIN office, 120 S. Sycamore St., to be transported in a specialized van to the clinic, where they stay overnight. The next day, the animals are delivered back to Batesville and can be picked up at the same location. Cost: dogs, $80; cats, $40; rabies vaccines, $10.
