The East Central High School FFA chapter was one of 13 that competed in the Indiana 4-H/FFA State Horticulture Career Development Event Sept. 21 at Purdue University.
ECHS reporter Jacob Tremain noted, “Teams had to use their knowledge to identify ornamentals, indoor plants, fruits and vegetables. They also had to complete a general knowledge exam and a plant grading exercise.”
ECHS’ top team placed fourth. This team consisted of Ryan Callahan, Rylie Seaver, Sara Pope and Steven Hall, who placed eighth overall.
They will be recognized for their accomplishment at the Indiana FFA convention in June.
