University of Northwestern Ohio
Cody Haakinson, Batesville, made the February 2014 dean’s list in the University of Northwestern Ohio College of Applied Technologies.
To achieve this distinction, full-time students must receive a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.
The Butler University Alumni Association honored local residents among the Top 100 students of the year. The award recognized the talent and dedication of outstanding Butler students, including Kelly Borter, Holton, marketing and international management major; and Arielle Noel, Milan, pre-physician assistant major.
These recipients were nominated by students, faculty and staff members for their outstanding character, scholarship and leadership. The recognition honors those who give unselfishly of themselves and who are highly regarded by the entire university community.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
Trevor Bischoff, son of Tony and Jean Bischoff, Brookville, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering, has been named to the dean's list at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology for the winter quarter.
In order to be named to the list, students must earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
Ivy Tech Community College
Thirty-seven students from Ivy Tech Community College campuses across the state were named to this year's All-Indiana Academic Team. The academic competition, which scores students on academic honors, activities including leadership and work experience and an essay, is sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two-year colleges, USA TODAY and the American Association of Community Colleges.
Sheree Craig, Brenda Price, Lauren Singer and Joshua Wickizer, Ivy Tech Southeast students, represented the team.
University of Dayton
Two area students, Erin Walsh, Batesville, and Elle Riehle, West Harrison, were named to the University of Dayton Dean's List for the 2014 spring semester.
To qualify for the list, an undergraduate degree-seeking student must have a minimum of a 3.5 grade-point average and must have been enrolled for 12 or more credits that semester.
