The Web site for the Indiana Commission on Improving the Status of Children is now available at www.in.gov/children/. It links to meeting videos, agenda details and information on topics discussed, reports Kathryn Dolan, Indiana Supreme Court chief public information officer.

The commission met Dec. 11. Archived meeting video by the Indiana Department of Education will be online soon.

The commission also announced an executive committee. Its five members are Justice Loretta Rush, Rep. Rebecca Kubacki, Sen. Travis Holdman, Dr. Ryan Streeter and Mary Beth Bonaventura.

The commission will hold two upcoming public meetings from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Indiana Government Center South, Feb. 19 in Conference Room A and April 16 in Conference Room C.

The multibranch statewide commission held its inaugural meeting in August. It is aimed at improving the status of children in Indiana. In cooperation with other entities, commission members will study issues concerning vulnerable youth, review and make recommendations concerning pending legislation and promote information sharing and best practices.
