---- — The Batesville High School girls cross country remained undefeated on the season with a first place finish at the South Dearborn Invitational.
Batesville finished with a team score of 27 points to win the 8-team Division 1 race by 50 points over Greensburg. East Central was third with 94 points.
Kelsey Gausman was the meet runner up followed by teammates Sarah Poltrack (4th), Mary Poltrack (5th), Grace Yeaton (6th), Maria Wessel (10th) and Kylie Lehman (13th).
Although team scores were not kept for the JV race, awards were given to the top 20 individuals and Batesville had everyone receive an award.
Breanna Hartman was the overall champion followed by Liz Cuttle (2nd), Heidi Shaw (3rd), Destini Taylor-Fathman (4th), Kelsey Forbeck (6th), Jamie Day (8th), Pilar Bermenjo Garcia (11th) and Candice Roell (12th).
BHS boys in

The BHS boys team placed fourth in the Division 1 field at the South Dearborn Invitational.
Ryle High School placed first followed by South Dearborn and Madison. Teams falling in behind the Bulldogs included Jennings County, Rushville, Greensburg and Franklin County.
Cole Nuhring was the top Bulldogs finisher in 15th place. Caleb Moster and Connor Bell were 16th and 17th, respectively.
Other top finishers for BHS were Garrett Yorn (37th) and Calvin Lehman (38th).
