The Oldenburg Academy cross country teams traveled to Dayton for the Midwest Catholic Cross Country Championship.
Teams from Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Kentucky competed in the regional event.
The Lady Twisters continued to excel no matter the distance traveled.
Oldenburg won the silver division, which was one of two based on school size.
Sarah Billingsley, who raced to a second place finish in the large school race, bounced back to race in the silver division. She still had plenty left in the tank and went on to win the race in a time of 18:54.
Meredith Maier was third for the Lady Twisters with a time of 20:04.
Kirsten Ricke was fifth with a time of 20:19 followed closely in sixth by Rachel Billingsley in sixth with a mark of 20:24.
Claire Dickey was 35th in the field of 90 runners with a time of 22:45.
Other runners competing for coach Merle Hines were Courtney Unkrich (75th), Bobbie Wagner and Jackie Unkrich.
The Oldenburg Academy boys also competed at the event.
Luke Wukusick, Isaiah Frey and Brian Ulrich all did “extremely well”, according to Hines.
