St. Louis track and field teams place second

BATESVILLE — The St. Louis School track and field team kicked off the season with a second place finish in a three-way meet with Jac-Cen-Del and North Decatur.

Highlights of the evenings were as follows:

Girls 100 m hurdles: second place finish by Audrey Weigel with a time of 19.7 seconds.

Boys 110 m hurdles: first place finish by Caleb Moster with a time of 19.1 seconds and a fourth place finish by Max Shenk at 23.9 seconds.

Girls 100 m dash: first place finish by Sophie Meadows with a time of 13.9 seconds and 4th place finish by Annie Freese at 15.1 seconds.

Boys 100 m dash: first place finish by Matthew Lents with a time of 13.4 seconds.

Girls 200 m dash: third place finish by Gabi Garcia with a time of 30.7 seconds and Audrey Weigel in fourth with a time of 31 seconds.

Boys 200 m dash: fourth place finish by Alex Geers with a time of 32.4 seconds.

Girls 400 m dash: first place finish by Madelyn Maier with a time of 1:06, Audrey Weigel with a time of 1:13 in second place, Audrey Amberger in fourth place with a time of 1:18.

Boys 400 m run: first place finish by Tyler Wachsmann with a time of 1:07 and Ridge Douglas in fourth place at 1:10.

Girls 1,600-meter run: 1st place at 6:06 Mary Poltrack, 2nd place at 6:09 Sarah Poltrack, 4th place at 7:00 flat Madelyn Maier.

Boys 1,600-meter run: 1st place at 5:09 crushing his own record set last year Curt Eckstein, 3rd place at 5:45 Caleb Moster, 4th place at 6:20 Dave Kuntz.

800 m run: first place at 2:50 Sarah Poltrack, second place at 2:51 Mary Poltrack, and fourth place at 3:05 Madelyn Maier.

Boys 800-meter run: Dave Kuntz second place at 2:52 and Gabe Frey in third place at 2:53.

Boys 1600 m relay: first place-Curt Eckstein, Caleb Moster, Dave Kuntz, Tyler Wachsmann.

Field Events: Third place finish in girls shot put with a throw of 23’5” by Katherine Roell. Third place finish in boys shot put with a throw of 29’9” by Tyler Wachsmann. Third place finish by Sam Esser with a jump of 10’6”. Fourth place finish in boys discus with a throw of 64’ by Jacob Preston.
