“We were able to get out to an early lead which was important so we could get players plenty of rest,” Fox commented. “It was also nice to see the young players get lots of playing time in a tournament atmosphere.
“Give Morristown credit for continuing to play hard despite the score and rising temperatures,” he added.
Seymour outscored Centerville 4-2 in penalty kicks to determine the winner in the other first round match.
Unfortunately, the championship was unable to be played due to poor weather conditions and will be rescheduled at a later date.
