Twisters run mark to 5-3 on the season

---- — The Oldenburg Academy Twisters won back-to-back games on the baseball diamond and improved to 5-3 on the season.

The Twisters defeated Southwestern (Shelby) by a score of 11-0.

Oldenburg racked up 12 hits in the victory. Bryce Ahaus, Drew Kloepfer and Jacob Kessens each had two hits.

Nick Bischoff and Corey Schuman each scored twice, while Josh Kinker and Matty Hurm each drove in a pair of runs.

Oldenburg had only five hits in an 11-1 win over North Decatur.

The Twisters scored one run in the first inning and five in the second to take a comfortable lead. They added five more in the sixth to seal the victory.

Bischoff scored three times to lead the Twisters.

Kessens got the start on the mound and pitched all six innings. He gave up four hits and struck out 10 batters.
