Twisters get ninth win on diamond

BATESVILLE — An unfamiliar foe visited Liberty Park on Monday to play the Oldenburg Academy Twisters.

The host Twisters defeated the Indianapolis Kings Home School squad by a score of 8-3.

Oldenburg scored five runs over the first two innings to set the tone.

Jacob Kessens, Austin Alley and Corey Reynolds each had two hits. Kessens, Reynolds and Matty Hurm each scored twice for the Twisters.

Kessens pitched five innings to record the victory. Tyler Hogg held Kings scoreless over the final two.

The Twisters improved to 9-11 on the season.
