The rosters are set and soon it will be time to kick off the 2013 Grange Insurance All-Star Classic, presented by the Indiana Football Coaches Association.
This year’s Grange Insurance All-Star Classic will take place Friday July, 19, at North Central High School. Featuring Indiana’s best graduating seniors, the 47th edition of this annual event promises to be a hard-hitting, competitive affair for statewide bragging rights.
Players selected for the game from area high schools include Milan offensive lineman Aaron Perkins, East Central tight end Payton Stonefield and Lawrenceburg running back Chad Banschbach.
Last year more than 4,500 attendees participated in all the festivities and watched a spirited battle between the best Indiana high school football players from the North and the South. Proceeds from the game annually benefit both Camp Riley, a camping facility near Martinsville designed specifically for children with physical disabilities, and the Indiana Football Hall of Fame. Adding to the festivities will be children’s activities, prize giveaways and halftime entertainment.
“From the dedicated coaching staffs, to the talented players, plus supporting a wonderful organization like Camp Riley, we are proud to be a part of this outstanding event.” Said Tom Welch, Grange President and CEO.
