Milan wins summer swim title

The 88-member Milan Indians Swim Team (MIST) completed an undefeated season and won its first Southeastern Indiana Swimming Association (SEISA) Championship.

The SEISA summer program consists of teams from Batesville, Decatur County, South Dearborn, Hidden Valley and Madison. The Batesville Stingrays have won the title for the past 14 years.

The MIST swimmers captured first place in 10 of the 20 relay events en route to the title. Milan swimmers also had 45 first, 21 second and 23 third place finishes.

MIST celebrated the season and the championship victory at the year-end banquet honoring the team. The team is coached by David Baugh, Shelby Zornes and Jacob Baugh.
