Again, the top four finishers get a chance to move on to the semistate.

The Batesville Bulldogs had five wrestlers hit the mat in Richmond and will have four compete on Saturday at the New Castle Semistate.

Two will be competing at the semistate at runner-ups, while the other two will face a tough challenge as fourth place finishers.

Westerfeld pinned Brent Morris in the second period of his opening round match. Westerfeld's second match on the day was against Lawrenceburg rival Adam Oyler. The BHS senior  pinned Oyler in the first period to earn  a spot in the finals.
