In addition to Walsman’s 23 points and seven rebounds, Hoeing finished with 21 followed by Wes McKinney with 15 and Kase with 11.
Hoeing led the team with eight rebounds and three blocked shots. Kase finished the night with seven steals and six assists.
“It was an impressive win in the fact that Hauser played well and jumped out to a big lead, cut into our deficit late the boys responded to close out the game,” Garrett commented.
The Bulldogs improved to 10-3 on the season and the Jets fall to 6-7.
BHS junior varsity nets win
The Batesville junior varsity held on to post a 46-44 victory over the visiting Jets.
The two teams battled back and forth most of the way. The Bulldogs led 15-11 at the end of the first quarter and later by one point at halftime. The Jets jumped ahead in third quarter to lead 36-34 at next stop.
The Jets had a chance to tie the game later, but were unable to convert from the free throw line.
Garrett Burkhart led the Bulldogs in scoring with 14 points followed closely by Jacob Vogelsang with 13.
