---- — The Batesville Bulldogs scored early and often against the visiting Lawrenceburg Tigers.
The Batesville junior varsity football team posted a 52-28 victory over the Tigers.
It was not best night defensively, but the offense made up for it.
Evan Blanken caught a touchdown pass from Leo Enneking and Wyatt Schebler returned a punt 35 yards for a score in the first quarter. Blanken and Jacob Wilson each added two-point conversions.
The Bulldogs led 16-6 at the first break.
Zach Mears and Neal Nobbe both scored in the second quarter as the lead grew to 30-12 by halftime. John Moody added a two-point conversion.
Mears tallied a second touchdown run in the third quarter and John Reer had the two-point conversion.
In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs scored on a 55-yard carry by Mears and one inside the five from Jacob Koehne.
The Bulldogs improved to 6-0 on the season.
