Twisters lose to Spartans 4-1

The Oldenburg Academy tennis team suffered a 4-1 loss to Southwestern (Shelby) at Batesville High School.

“We were a little off tonight,” OA head coach Jackie Fitzgerald commented. “The matches were much more competitive than the scores show.”

The Twisters got a victory at No. 2 singles. Luke Hammoor defeated Dakota Ebersold in straight sets by the scores of 6-4 and 6-2.

Josh Hollingsworth lost in two sets at No. 1 singles as did Calvin Shenk at No. 3.

The No. 1 doubles team of Sam Gast and Nick Bischoff lost to Rowe and Croucher 6-2 and 6-2.

Nathan Hubert and Clay Hunger were defeated 6-0 and 6-1 by Abel and Laughlin.
