The Bulldogs improved to 5-1 on the season, while the Trojans dropped to 1-3.
BHS junior varsity rallies for win
The Batesville junior varsity controlled the tempo in the first half, but needed to rally from behind to get the victory. The Bulldogs edged the Trojans by a score of 31-25.
After leading 18-7 at halftime, the Bulldogs found themselves trailing 25-22 late in the game.
Jacob Vogelsang came up big for the Bulldogs in a late stages of the game. The BHS junior buried a 3-pointer to knot the score at 25-25 and went 4-of-4 from the free throw line to close it out. Wyatt Schebler scored a field goal to put the Bulldogs in front 27-25.
Vogelsang finished the game with 12 points, while Schebler added eight. Garrett Burkhart, Daylan Caplinger and Austin Meyer each added three points.
