BHS boys swim past Pirates

---- — The Batesville High School boys swim team won seven of 11 events to easily knock off the host Greensburg Pirates.

The Bulldogs tallied 139 team points, which was 39 better than the Pirates and well ahead of the Rushville Lions (38).

The 200 yard medley relay of Matt Weiler, Thomas Hatcher, Jacob Hawkins and Graham Hunter opened the meet with a victory.

Two Bulldogs were two time winners in individual events. Weiler won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly. Hatcher was a winner in the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.

Evan Miller placed first in the 200 freestyle.

Weiler, Hatcher, Clayton McKinley and Hunter were winners as well for the Bulldogs in the 200 free relay.

Hunter (50 free), Seth Parker (100 free, 100 back), Miller (500 free) placed second in their respective events, while third place finishers included McKinley (200 free, 50 free), Kegan Main (100 fly) and Hawkins (100 back).

Junior varsity event winners were Zach Hall (100 free), Ben Schwettman, (100 back) and Damien Pelo (50 free).
