OA swim wins two at Switzerland County

The Oldenburg Academy boys swim team posted a 79-72 victory over Switzerland County.

The Twisters opened the meet with a victory in the 200 yard medley relay. The quartet of Chris Nurrenberg, John Petzel, Ben Wanstrath and Liam Mungcal teamed up for the victory.

The same four swimmers later combined efforts to claim victory in the 200 yard freestyle relay.

Petzel also placed first in the 200 yard free style and the 100 butterfly.

Chris Jarman was also a first place finisher. He won the 100 yard backstroke.

Lady Twisters win easily

The Oldenburg Academy girls posted a 107-53 victory over the Lady Pacers.

The Lady Twisters placed first in 11 events, including three relays.

Meredith Maier, Mikaela Fangman, Eric Geers and Caroline Storms win the 200 yard medley relay. Meredith Maier, Madelyn Maier, Geers and Storms placed first in the 200 free relay.

Elaine Welage, Emma Geis, Huntyr Rose and Madelyn Maier capped the relays with a win the 400 free.

Storms was a two time winner for coach Cindy Todd. Storms won the 50 yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly.

Other individual event winners were Coleen Dietz (200 free), Meredith Maier (200 individual medley), Madelyn Maier (100 free), Rose (500 free), Fangman (100 breaststroke) and Welage (100 backstroke).
