Lady Twisters win tourney title

BATESVILLE — The Oldenburg Academy tennis team competed in the Richmond Invitational on Saturday.

The Lady Twisters came away with the team title by a slim one point margin over the tournament hosts.

Sarah Wilder and Claire Dickey gave the Lady Twisters a big boost by winning their individual flights. Wilder went 3-0 at No. 2 singles as did Dickey at No. 3.

Gretchen Wilder went 2-1 in the day with a tough loss to Richmond’s No. 1 singles player in the finals.

Ella Lamping and Ivy Glaser lost their first match at No. 1 doubles, but won the next two to win the consolation draw.

Anya Smith and Hannah Hanauer were 1-2 on the day at No. 2 doubles.
