Runs hard to come by for BHS

The Batesville High School varsity baseball team lost at Franklin Central by a score of 11-1.
The loss dropped the overall Bulldog record to 4-5, while the host Flashes improved to 9-6.
Ryan Miller doubled and scored the only Batesville run on Jeff Tucholski's sacrifice fly. Matt Back and Joe Chaffee singled for the other Bulldog hits.
Pitcher Ben Folkman suffered the loss on the mound getting relief help from Jeff Tucholski and Brandon Wallpe.
BHS falls to
Greensburg 10-1
University of Kentucky-bound Alex Meyer pitched the Greensburg Pirates to victory at Liberty Park against the Bulldogs.
The Pirates posted a 10-1 win as Meyer gave up five hits and struck out 11 in just over four innings of work.
Tucholski scored the Bulldog’s only run of the game after getting an infield hit, stealing second and then crossed the plate on a hit by Quinn foster.
Pitcher Matt Back took the loss for the Bulldogs. Ben Baumer and Zach Walsh pitched in relief.
Trygve Henrickson had a pair of triples for Greensburg and Jacob Powers added a two run home run.
