OA falls 14-4 in softball



The Oldenburg Academy Lady Twisters suffered a 14-4 loss to the North Decatur Lady Chargers in varsity softball action.

The Lady Twisters scored three runs in the top of the second inning to take a 4-1 lead. Kendra Wessling scored the lone run in the first inning, while Rachel Wuestefeld, Sarah Chaffee and Stacey Stenger scored in the second.

North answered with five runs in the second and one in the third to gain a lead they would not relinquish. The Lady Chargers sealed the victory with seven runs over the final three innings.

Oldenburg finished with four hits in the game. Wuestefeld,Chaffee, Stenger and Libby Eckstein each had singles.
