Batesville High School sophomore pitcher Bryan Hoeing had plenty of run support Tuesday night at Liberty Park.
The Bulldogs defeated the visiting Lawrenceburg Tigers by a score of 9-0.
Hoeing was a big part of the team’s success. The right-hander pitched a complete game, giving up no runs on six hits, while striking out 13 batters.
Offensively, Austin Westerfeld was the only Bulldog with more than one hit as the team scattered seven. Westerfeld went 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI and one run scored. Nick Kirschner scored twice and had one hit. Other Bulldogs with hits included Will Ollier, Ben Summers, Ethan Poettker and Hoeing.

The Bulldogs were 12-3 winners over the Tigers at Batesville High School.
Batesville scored seven runs in the second inning to set the tone of the game. They added two more in the fourth and four in the fifth.
Jordan Meyer, Ben Wilson, Leo Enneking and Brett Westerfeld each had two hits. Enneking scored three times and drove in a pair of runs. Wyatt Schebler had one hit and three RBI.
Westerfeld and Wilson shared the pitching duties. Westerfeld got the start and pitched three innings.
