WHEREAS, to expand knowledge about and improve general public perception of manufacturing careers and manufacturing’s value to the U.S. economy; and
WHEREAS, for students, parents, educators, media, customers, suppliers and the community at large to learn about real career opportunities, training and resources; and
WHEREAS, in addition, manufacturers will learn about business improvement resources and services delivered through manufacturing extension partnerships; and
WHEREAS, empower manufacturers to come together to address their collective challenges so they can help their communities and future generations thrive; and
WHEREAS, given the diverse communities and schools that make up Economic Growth Region 9, our southeast corner of the state has adopted this national movement as part of a long manufacturing career awareness campaign, the city of Batesville invites all citizens to participate in National Manufacturing Month.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Rick Fledderman, do hereby proclaim October 2013, as
in the city of Batesville, and urge all citizens along with all agencies and organizations to duly note this occasion.
