Historical society offers thanks

The Batesville Herald-Tribune

---- — Dear Editor,

The Batesville Area Historical Society would like to thank everyone who attended our Snowflake Christmas Luncheon Dec. 4 at Hillcrest Country Club. This is our annual benefit to finance the historical museum. We would also like to thank all of the donors of gifts for our silent auction. We appreciate your generosity in supplying the many gifts.

Thanks to Arlene Wachsmann for baking so many beautiful homemade decorated cookies that our guests could buy and enjoy.

The singing group In Harmony supplied our entertainment with some appropriate Christmas songs. Thanks also to the country club for serving a delicious luncheon.

Everyone went home with hand-crocheted snowflake ornaments that Barb Avery made for us. We hope everyone had a good time and that it put each one in the Christmas spirit.

Thanks again, committee members Jinny Stewart, Arlene Wachsmann, Clara Goble, Rosalie Geis, Lou Voegele and Jean Struewing.

Jean Struewing,

BAHS president
