Salvation Army of Ripley County Advisory Council members would like to say thank you to area citizens for their generosity and support through donations into the red kettles located throughout businesses in Ripley County. The donations raised in the county stay in the county to support the Salvation Army Emergency Assistance Program and other programs throughout the year.
The holiday Red Kettle Drive total was $7,911, a little less than the previous year.
The donations also support Salvation Army programs here, such as Tools for School, which provides basic school supplies for children in grades K-6 who are on the government’s free and reduced lunch programs; and the League of Mercy Program, which provides gifts to local nursing home patients for Easter and Christmas holidays; and supports for local disasters.
The council would also like to say thank you to the local businesses, Batesville Kiwanis and Rotary clubs, other organizations, individual bell ringers and the Sisters of St. Francis for their support in this year’s campaign.
