Raymond Laurence Hadler, 90

— Raymond Laurence Hadler, 90, Greensburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at the Heritage House of Greensburg.

The son of Conrad and Flora Wiedemann-Hadler was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Decatur County. On Oct. 12, 1946, Raymond married Lois Morgan in St. Paul, and she survives.  

Raymond served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was in the CBI – China Burma India Theatre.

Raymond worked for 33 years at Bohn Aluminum, Greensburg, until his retirement. He also attended the First Church of God and enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.

Also surviving are daughter Beverly Anne (Darrell) Grimes, Greensburg; sons Douglas Duane (Elizabeth) Hadler, Jonesborough, Tenn., and William Gene (Sue) Hadler, Greensburg; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mildred Cox, Iva Dice, Viola Huber, Velma Thackery, Lillian Witkemper and one infant sister; and brothers Harley Hadler, Earl Hadler and one infant brother.

Visitation for family and friends is Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 4-8 p.m., and the services is Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery there.
