Annabelle C. Starke, 87, Westport, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Morning Breeze, Greensburg.

Born Aug. 13, 1926, in Batesville, she was the daughter of Gus and Ida (Wissel) Schumacher. She married Vincent P. Starke Jr. April 9, 1947, and he preceded her in death Jan. 7, 1997.

Annabelle helped her husband run the farm. She worked for several years cleaning houses. Later in life, along with her husband, she ran several area flea markets. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Millhousen, and its ladies auxiliary. 

She is survived by her two sons: Charlie (Linda) Starke, Rushville, and Dale (Rhonda) Starke, Greensburg; one daughter: Barb McLaughlin, Greensburg; two brothers: Paul Schumacher, Greensburg, and Bob Schumacher, Florida; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Gary Schumacher; and two grandchildren, Kortney Snyder and Devin Lawler.

A public rosary service for family and friends will be held Thursday, April 3, at 3:30 p.m. at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg. Visitation will follow there from 4-8 p.m., and also Friday, April 4, from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. funeral at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Bill Turner officiating. 

Interment will be held in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Greensburg. Memorials may be made to the Millhousen Volunteer Fire Department. Online condolences can be posted to the family at
