Wayne Klingworth, 74

Wayne Klingworth, 74, Oldenburg, passed away at his home Monday, March 24, 2014. 

The son of Roy and Clara (Sarringhaus) Klingworth was born Nov. 15, 1939, in Batesville. 

The 1958 graduate of Batesville High School was a lifelong farmer, lifelong member of St. John United Church of Christ, Huntersville, and he served his country in the U.S. Army. 

On Aug. 5, 1967, he married Mary Ann Mang in Batesville. Mr. Klingworth loved his family and enjoyed listening to basketball and baseball games.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 46 years; and his son, Andy Klingworth, Oldenburg. He will also be missed by his brother-in-laws, Paul Mang, Greensburg, and Leroy (Judy) Mang, Batesville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26, from 5-8 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home, 1150 State Road 46 E., Batesville; and Thursday, March 27, from 10-11 a.m. at St. John United Church of Christ. Funeral services will immediately follow there with the Rev. David Johnston officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church or Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
