William “Bill” C. Wells, 73

— William “Bill” C. Wells, 73, Milroy, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

Born Feb. 6, 1940, in Greensburg, he was the son of Roy and Helen Wells.

The 1958 Greensburg High School graduate served in the U.S. Air Force as a missile maintenance mechanic, working on the AGM-28B “Hound Dog” nuclear missile. Bill was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed camping with friends and family and working on the farm, as well as being able to help those around him.

Survivors include his daughter, Bonnie Wells, Fountaintown; sisters Wilma Wells and Marcia Foley, Greensburg, and Debbie Milwee, Groveland, Fla.; brother Tom Wells, Delray Beach, Fla., and many, many friends who will deeply miss his humor and spirit, especially his best friend, Buddy, who went everywhere with him.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be Saturday, May 18, from 3-8 p.m. at Knights of St. John, 312 S. Wilder St., Greensburg.
