Gilbert G. Stamper, 75

— Gilbert G. Stamper, 75, Batavia, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Atrium Medical Center, Franklin, Ohio.

The son of Hugh and Ruby Stephens Stamper was born at Lusby Mill, Owen County, Ky., Dec. 22, 1937.

Survivors include his companion: Theresa Becker; one son: Michael (Debbie) Stamper, Jupiter, Fla.; three daughters: Trina (Paul) Brandon, Versailles, Michelle Stamper and companion Gary Brunsman, Middletown, Ohio, and Angela Stamper, LaPorte, Texas; Theresa’s children:  Christina and Joshua; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers: Hugh (Arbutus) Stamper, Louisville, Ky., Estel (Linda) Stamper, Sunman, and Daniel Stamper, Port Republic, Md.; four sisters: Beulah (Gene) Sorrell, Carlisle, Ohio, Georgia (David) Phillips, Milan, and Ella (Glen) Walters and Glenna (Roger) Fassald, Sunman.

He was preceeded in death by his parents and one brother, Lloyd.

Mr. Stamper retired in 1998 after 44 years with Institutional Industries, Cincinnati. He was a member and past president of the Newport, Ky., Eagles Lodge.

Visitation is Saturday, March 9, from 2-4 p.m. followed by the service officiated by David Phillips at Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home, Versailles.

Memorials may be given to the foundations of Atrium Medical Center or Margaret Mary Community Hospital.
