William B. Craig, 74, Milan, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Drake Center, Cincinnati.
He was born Jan. 18, 1940, in Dearborn County, a son of the late Wilford and Thelma (Davis) Craig.
William served in the U.S. Army from 1958-63. On Sept. 2, 1961, he married the love of his life, Margaret A. Coombs. He was a water well driller for Rose Inc. for over 30 years and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years; a son: William (Janet) Craig, Milan; two daughters: Sonya Transier and Shawna Craig, Batesville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother: Rick (Betty) Haessig, Milan; four sisters: Shirley Craig, Sunman, and Wanda Adams, Linda (Junior) Campos and Beth (Clarence) Magers, Milan; and several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Craig.
Visitation for William’s family and friends will be held Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. until the noon memorial service led by family friend Diane Dittmer at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine St., Sunman.
