Cheryl A. Frensemeier, 61

BATESVILLE —

Cheryl A. Frensemeier, 61, Batesville, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at her residence. 

Born July 14, 1952, in Batesville, she was the daughter of Delores (Raver) and Francis "Bobe" Walke. She married Michael Frensemeier May 22, 1971, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Batesville. 

Cheryl was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was a volunteer at the Sunday night bingo. She was also a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3183 Ladies Auxiliary and Prell-Bland American Legion Post 271 Ladies Auxiliary member. She worked for 15 years at Hill-Rom and most recently worked in housekeeping at the Sherman House Restaurant & Inn.

Cheryl could often be found two to three times a week in devotion at the St. Louis Church Adoration Chapel. She loved to watch and listen to the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals and the Indianapolis Colts, and throughout the week when she wasn't working, she would often watch her favorite soap opera, "Days of Our Lives."  She loved to eat popcorn and enjoyed reading, canning vegetables and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Mike; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Matthew Harpring, Batesville; sons Brian Frensemeier, Batesville, Gerald (Gary) Frensemeier, Brookville, and Lloyd Frensemeier, Evansville; sisters Janet Maple, Joan Dwenger and Carol Baker, Batesville; brother Steve Walke, Batesville; and grandchildren Jared, Zach and Addison Frensemeier.

Visitation is Monday, June 30, from 4-7 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Morris, with the Rev. Shaun Whittington officiating. 

Memorials may be made to the Margaret Mary Health Foundation Hospice Fund or St. Anthony Church.
