Charles R. "Skip" Jung, 76

Charles R. "Skip" Jung, 76, Sunman, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati. 

He was born Oct. 27, 1936, to Charles A. and Helen (Robertson) Jung in Cincinnati. He married Jacqueline "Jackie" Hardiman June 20, 1956, in Cincinnati and she survives. 

Skip worked at Cincinnati Bell Telecommunication for 37 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Batesville. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling and golf.

Left to honor Skip's memory are his wife of over 57 years, Jackie Jung; sons Charles Scott (companion Barbara Honeycutt) Jung, John Todd Jung and Michael William (Louise) Jung, Sunman; stepsons Harold Brinkman, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Russell (Edwina) Callan, Osgood; six grandchildren: Samantha Smith, Tyler Jung, Amy Smith, Zachary Jung, Mallory Jung and Caleb Jung; and five great-grandchildren: Nathan, Matthew, Dillon, Grayson and Olivia. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jim Jung, in 1987.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 10, from 5-7 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, Sunman. Memorial donations may be directed to the Sunman Area Life Squad, Sunman Rural Fire Department, Sunman Food Pantry or a charity of choice.
