---- — Dorothy “Dot” M. Oliger, 85, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Morning Breeze Nursing Home, Greensburg.
Born, May 24, 1928, in Batesville, she was the daughter of Theodore and Johanna (Bramlage) Wanstrath.
Dorothy graduated from Batesville High School and went to St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, where she became a registered nurse. She worked for Margaret Mary Hospital, Batesville; Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg; and Heritage House Nursing Home, Greensburg. She was a former administrator for Decatur County Memorial Hospital, and she served on the hospital board for 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greensburg; Daughters of Isabella; DCMH Ladies Auxiliary and Allied Health Organization Breast Cancer Support Group.
Dorothy married Paul Oliger Oct. 5, 1957, at St. Louis Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death Jan. 25, 1993.
She is survived by two sons: Tom (Suzanne) Oliger, Carmel, and Ted (Debbi) Oliger, Plano, Texas; one daughter: Teresa (Steve) Martinko, Canfield, Ohio; six grandchildren: Audrey, Jake and Ellison Oliger, Paul R. Oliger and Megan and Sara Martinko; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers: Louis and Norman Wanstrath.Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg, with a rosary service starting at 12:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 1, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
