Stanley “Bud” Geiling White, 94, Blooming Grove, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, Oxford, Ohio.
He was born April 29, 1919, in Alquina to Russell and Hazel (Geiling) White. On Feb. 27, 1939, in Falmouth, Ky., he married Marilyn Woodmansee, who preceded him in death Dec. 15, 2011.
Bud had been an auctioneer and livestock dealer since 1937, following in his father’s footsteps. He was an important part of the agricultural community in numerous communities and states.
Those surviving who will honor Bud’s memory include his daughter and son-in-law Stanlee and Henry Weller, Kokomo; son and daughter-in-law David and Paula White, Brookville; six grandchildren: Andrea Mears, DVM, Chicago, April Plank, Tampa, Fla., Dr. Jonathan White, Brookville, Mari Schuman, St. Leon, Tony Price, Indianapolis, and Dawn Webster, Kokomo; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother Ivan White, Brookville.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, June White.
Visitation for friends and family will be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Cook Funeral Home, Brookville. Chuck Grimes will officiate the funeral service at 4 p.m.
