Rebecca I. “Becky” Shook, 79, Batesville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at her home. 

She was born June 30, 1934, to Arvey and Mary (Stith) Webster, Sunman. Both preceded her in death. 

Becky is survived by her beloved partner of many years, Charles “Charlie” Winburn, Batesville. She leaves four sons: Joseph (Sue), Barry “Butch” W., Kevin (Jennie) and Brian “Scott” Shook; and a daughter Teri Lyn Hughes. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. She came from a large family of 10 children.

Becky graduated from Sunman High School and attended University of Cincinnati School of Art and went on to be a professional artist and designer. She worked as a private contractor for several companies and after retiring in 1998, she and Charlie enjoyed the outdoors of fishing, boating, traveling and still most of all, art and design projects.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 12, from noon-2 p.m. followed by services at Meyers Funeral Home with the Revs. Charles Flory and Larry Dimick officiating. Burial will follow at Batesville United Methodist Church Cemetery. 

Memorials are suggested to Phi Beta Psi Sorority for cancer research.

The family is deeply grateful to many who offered their support, encouragement and strength during her battle with cancer and to the doctors and nurses of the Hansen Center. Online condolences may be made at
