Brian J. Dickman, 48, Batesville, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Margaret Mary Community Hospital.
Born May 13, 1960, in Batesville, he was the son of Richard and Irene (Hornbach) Dickman.
The St. Louis Catholic Church member was a team leader for Romweber Furniture Co. until earlier this year. The deer hunter and avid Indiana University fan was a prankster who enjoyed a good joke. Dickman was most proud of his daughters and liked taking them camping. He was also looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild, Hunter Dickman, later this year.
Survivors include his parents; three daughters: Megan, Erin and Mallory Dickman, Batesville; nine sisters: Karen Snuffer, Shelbyville, Mara Kruthaupt, Shelia Merkel, Colleen Doll and Carmen Belter, Batesville, Ellen Paul and Geralyn Litzinger, Oldenburg, Nancy Kinker, Greensburg, and Ann Sweeney, Indianapolis; two brothers: Dennis Dickman, Greensburg, and Daniel Dickman, Batesville; and his significant other: Rhonda Gunter.
Visitation is Sunday, June 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. with a rosary service at 1 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home. The Rev. David Kobak, OFM, will officiate the 10 a.m. funeral Monday, June 30, at St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial is at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Dickman Girls Trust Fund.
