INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Sen. Robert Jackman, R-Milroy, was taken to Methodist Hospital’s emergency room Tuesday because of an unspecified medical condition, an assistant in his office said. Paramedics came to Jackman’s office in the Statehouse at about 10:15 a.m. and carried him out on a gurney. Jackman was wearing a nasal mask and was conscious as he was taken out of his office,The Indianapolis Star reported.

Jackman, 62, has had a history of asthma, but likely did not suffer an asthma attack, said Heidi Harris, the legislative doctor. Harris also said Jackman did not show symptoms of heart problems.
