The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 0813 met Dec. 17, 2013, at the Rushville Elks Club for their Christmas party, according to Secretary Harold DeWitt.
The meeting was opened by President Eva Stone followed with Kay Hineman leading the group with the Pledge of Allegiance and the invocation. The business meeting had the secretary’s minutes and treasurer’s report and other committee reports given. Chapter officers for 2014 were sworn in by the president. Birthdays for December were Anne Clapp, Doris Harris and Jack Fix, Shelbyville. The attendance prize was won by Steve Woolman, Shelbyville.
Members were treated to a free lunch, with the chapter picking up the tab. Then Paul Rosfeld, Rushville, ran the group’s version of dirty bingo, which had members bringing one gift and the winners of the games choosing a wrapped gift or stealing somebody else’s gift.
The next meeting will be at Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. at Ponderosa Steakhouse, Greensburg, with optional lunch following. Retired and active federal employees and their spouses are invited to attend.
